Last of 2017's harvest...

...being cracked by Dr D  and subsequently frozen.
Each day he gathers this autumn's harvest and spreads the walnuts on chicken netting frames I asked him to make for drying the nuts.
We give loads away each year and it's especially good to have them ready in the freezer to go on the lemon-chocolate icing that coats the favourite Afghan slice.
