Feeding time at the zoo....

A day best forgotten .
The shepherd finished up last night , so I am on sheep feeding duties for the next couple of weeks till the new lad starts.
Out at 5 am and had them all done by 7.30 in time to start feeding the cattle. However a cow down in a shed , all bloated up with gas so got the vet to her to stick a vent in her side to release the pressure. He filled her full of fluids and drugs , but tonight she is an ( expensive ) ex cow.
Then went to load the silage feeder ready for the morning only to discover it had a puncture. So once I had fed all the sheep again tonight I had to take the wheel off and sort the puncture. The tyre glue is about 5 years out of date but eventually managed to scrape up enough runny stuff to stick the patch on the tube .
Then remembered I hadn't fed the 20 pet lambs their milk so had to leave everything until they were fed .
I hate sheep !
At least Patch enjoyed being a sheep dog instead of the usual cattle work !
