Sidmouth 6k (?)
After a 'hearty' breakfast we started a walk we had planned to do by first walking into the town to get some sunscreen to protect my hairless head. Then began the first of a number of steep climbs on our journey to the Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary. This walk took us through some wooded areas which were carpeted with bluebells, some cliff top view points and a number of rustic and very muddy steps.
As a child we visited the Donkey Sanctuary whilst on holiday because my dad was a big fan of donkeys. The place has changed hugely and, I'm pleased to say, is now a world wide charity dedicated to the wellbeing and welfare of donkeys.
On the return walk we stopped at the village church of Salcombe Regis which was a beautiful little church with an engraved glass alter screen which appeared to be illuminated but just used the light from the window behind.
We've had a lovely day and walked miles up hill and down dale and again I've had to accept a photo from RF due to technical difficulties between my camera and phone, thank you lovely lady.
