On the waterfront

Back at Ocean Village today, and delighted to see the marina on Southampton’s city waterfront becoming busy again.

Major investment by marina operators MDL has come to fruition and reshaping the marina and pontoons is now bringing activity back to the basin with yachts and motor cruisers now prominent on waters that had become deserted while development work was under way.

It has all been part of the reshaping of Ocean Village under a £70 million redevelopment project and with the final phase of a new configuration for the marina berths now complete, the operators believe will meet growing demands of berth holders and marina visitors, and includes facilities for bigger superyachts.
