Leading in a women's walking weekend this weekend. We all went to the Ben Ledi area then split off into groups. Wandering through the forest listenong to birds and spotting early flowers with the low level group I explained how the very natural looking forest is actually very man made and part of a huge long term (think 20+ years) rotation of plantations to provide timber for various things. Finding log stacks round the corner was perfect timing!
