Undercarriage

Now here's a view I've never seen before, mainly because whenever the nuthatch has landed on the feeder before, it has chosen (madeningly!!) the back of it! Today was different - a gloomy wet day enlivened by the frantic comings and goings of all manner of birds. The nuthatch is an acrobatic thing, quite aggressively chasing the other birds away, and has this very pretty undercarriage. Who knew?
