Pigeon toed

Spent some time in the garden this morning, clearing away the dead and dying and moving our new brightly coloured shrubs into position. The birds mostly kept away during this business, all except our old friend, the blackbird, who sat patiently on the bench watching and waiting. While choosing the blip for today, I noticed that she is stood all pigeon-toed, and then I took a proper look at those legs and feet. It's here that you can really see birds' dinosaur ancestors.

Poor Trick or treaters tonight, fear the trick was on them as they trailed round in the rain. Love the littleys in their skeleton costumes. Happy Halloween!
