Having fun on the beach

As we walked east yesterday today we walked along the coast to the west.

There were lots of people standing on the beach looking out to sea and we could see why. They were watching the tractor waiting in the sea for the lifeboat. The inflatable was trying to get into the cage. In the third attempt it made and the tracker raised it up and set off for the beach. See the extras.

There were lots of dogs out for a stroll and this one had found a huge stick.

The walk then proceeded up hill. All walks from Sidmouth start by going up hill. As we needed to get back to collect Murphy we put a time limit on the outer journey and then turned round and headed back. The return downwards journey was much quicker.

After lunch in Fields, one of the few remaining independent department stores and purchases of holiday gifts for ourselves we headed off to collect Murphy. He had had a great holiday but he was pleased to see us.

Well it was a lovely weekend and now we are back to reality.

The other extra was an elderly couple setting off across the beach for a stroll.
