Another great thing about the cooler weather here is the bloom of the dogwood trees. We had them when I grew up in NJ but it was too hot in CA for them. It's a really nice cool day... Salem and I walked to see the ducklings again. We also had a heron fly-over and I spied the osprey nest in one of the tall light fixtures at the nearby school. As I was looking, an osprey landed in the nest. 

I'm very tired now since I worked out at the gym this morning. In addition to my normal routine, I am doing the stair climber machine to continue to build strength in my legs for summer hiking... Now I need to plan a few backpack trips with my sister. Last summer, we did a very hard hike - it took me four hours to go two miles (it was very steep and rocky and hot). I want to do better this summer!
