I'm a bit proud of my new pond and stream. Every single rock has come from the discarded spoil when the council was digging up and replacing the road leading to our house last November. When I saw what the diggers were doing I asked if we could take the 'earth'. They delivered about 30 tons to us and Ali & I sieved and sorted it into sand, pebbles and rocks which we then used to create the stream and pond. As all the material came from just 200m away it fits in with the landscape perfectly. The birds love it and our dogs spend a bit too much time watching the fish and teetering around the edge. I installed a trail camera to catch wildlife but most of the photos are of the dogs.
