Market Scale #30
The latest in my scale series. I snapped this quickly this morning as my usual vendor was weighing my mango purchase. The three, beautiful specimens came in at a kilo and cost me 15 pesos (about $.80usd). It is the height of mango season right now and will be until the rains come. Early season mangos are considerably more expensive, I can pay upwards of 50 pesos for just a couple. Even though I try to do my buying at more permanent stalls, I have been loyal to this particular corner guy because he has the earliest arriving mangos in the market and we are usually chomping at bit for them after a number of months without.
