SUNDAY - Backblip

Sunday.

Weather slightly overcast and a little cool this morning but the rain kept off. We had a lovely scenic drive to Devils Bridge where we caught the little steam train to Aberystwyth. We had a half hour stop there and ate our picnic on a bench on the platform before the return journey back to Devils Bridge through more gorgeous scenery. In the garden of one particular property right beside the railway track there were two adults (mum and dad perhaps) with two children sitting in the garden all waving to us which reminded me so much of that lovely film, The Railway Children. I missed getting a photo of them so thought, never mind, I'll get one on the way back - unfortunately the family had gone in, grrrr! I hope they don't get too many smuts on their lovely white washing, ha, ha. On the drive back we went through Llangurig and stopped off for tea and scones with my ex-sister in law in her beautiful Arts and Craft house. Can't believe a year has gone by since we were there last.

Two extras: loved the daffs in the fire buckets and one of the old signs in the shop.
