Rabat
Rabat is the administrative capital of Morocco. But it is very much a holiday centre too. Beautiful beaches, gardens and places to stroll, lots of cafes serving mint tea and delicious pastries. Of the three places we have stayed in so far this is the one we would return to.
While visiting a ruin of an early fort we took more interest in the families of storks nesting high above us. You can just about see the second stork on the nest.
I haven't mentioned our travelling companions so far. 24 people..the biggest group we have ever travelled with but also the most harmonious with no-one breaking off into private groups or excluding single travellers. We are travelling in a very comfortable coach with plenty of spare seats to spread out. So ,a pretty good start.
