Under Wraps

A drive to Holy Island today. The tide times suited our relatively early start and we were able to enjoy exploring the island before too many people arrived.

The castle is currently undergoing major conservation works. In such an exposed position it bears the brunt of the weather. I hate to think how much this will cost! The scaffolding platform, where people are standing, is providing a view of some seals across from the harbour entrance.

Along the coastline people had been building towers out of the pebbles. I was very taken with them and so have put one of them as an extra.
