Room with a View

As predicted, though very sunny, the winds are almost too strong to stand against. So we took to the roads.

Long and extremely winding trip from Olonzac up the D907 to St Pons de Thomieres, thence to Mazamet where this picture was taken, and down the switchback D112 to Caunes and home. Lovely clear clean and well surfaced roads that run through valleys and canyons, mountains and forests. So many trees. And everywhere a little dereliction, where once people lived and worked.

By the time we got home it was even sunnier, but still do windy it was easier to hide inside. Tomorrow the winds ease, I hope, and sunning of the pale white bish can continue.
