Blackpoll warbler

It rained all day today so we spent a lot of time in the cottage we're renting on the shore of Lake of Egypt in southern Illinois. Lots of migrant birds are moving through the trees and bushes in front of the verandah, including this blackpoll warbler, a bird I've never seen before. Also from the verandah Cape May, yellow-rumped, yellow, Tennessee, Blackburnian and palm warblers and great crested flycatcher, grey catbird, brown thrasher moving through and a pair of Eastern bluebirds which are clearly settling in to breed.
