My Friday

Much better day at work after a silly crazy week (& that was after having a lovely monday off on holidays in qune country). There were train issues to start my day and i arrived late but after that it was smooth sailing. My sweetie made a special dish that he learned at his cooking class on Wednesday, fabulous marinated then stuffed Portobello mushrooms - they were delicious! What a lovely thing to come home to, accompanied by a welcome bottle of wine. We had a terrible wind storm (100 k winds) late friday afternoon/early evening. Our fairly recently new roof had flapping shingles but other than that we were unscathed. Our neighbours were not so lucky and have started to move the downed fence panels and put up temporary barriers to keep the kids safe (top photo).
