The Wall
This is the Memorial Wall at the National Memorial Arboretum, near Lichfield/Tamworth. On the left, above the statues it says "To the memory of all men and women killed on duty since WW2"
On the right hand side it says "We Will Remember Them Today, Tomorrow and Forever"
Thousands of names including one of Julia's friends who was killed shortly after she left Afghanistan at the end of her first tour there, See extra, Brent McCarthy.
The purpose of today was to hold a service of remembrance for those friends and riders we have lost in the past 12 months, we do this every year. We also re-attest our pledge to do what we do for the Royal British Legion.
It's quite solemn but it's a good day to meet up with friends and the weather was just glorious, and I got there and back on one tank of fuel, 170 miles round trip and the fuel warning light didn't even come on.
