The Big Reveal

More excitement at the pottery today.  The kiln was opened this morning and Penny was there to see how her vase had turned out.  She is having pottery lessons elsewhere but needs a place to fire her pieces.  The brother in law does fire for others.  There was more talking about the finished object and what could improve it.  Not much really.  She was very pleased with how the glaze turned out.  We all liked the shape.
The lovely daughter came out this afternoon and she typed while I photographed the rest of the pottery collection.  That made the job go twice as fast. All finished at 100 images.  In the extras are a nativity set made by the potter's grandson,  He is an engineer now but has a flair for drawing and these hand molded figures I adore.  A collection of wood fired vessels which have the pale orange colour and texture I love.  Porceline tea pots and mug. Lastly a big drum.  He made three of these.  My children liked them when they came to visit as youngsters.  They can be played.
