Blackbury Bluebells
We had heard that the bluebells at Blackbury Camp Hill Fort were worth going to see, and whoever told us was not wrong.
It was absolutely beautiful there, and the only sounds were the birds and the bees. There were a few other people there, but it seemed that they also wanted to hear nature and not their own voices.
This hill fort was built in the 4th Century BC by Iron Age tribal people, and is now surrounded by ancient woodland. It's worth a trip at any time of year if you're nearby, but at the moment it is just stunning. We will try to return at about 5 a.m. one day this week.
This is must better when viewed large.
