Breakfast at the Gin Palace...
Despite my late night I was up and showered by 8.30am.
David and were both downstairs by 9.30am and the rest of the gang were downstairs just after 10am.
Heather, who couldn't join us yesterday because she's just got a tiny kitten and couldn't leave him overnight, arrived at 10.30am with bacon rolls and we added them to the fruit platter, yogurt, croissants, cheeses, pate, crusty bread, jam and orange juice and headed to the Gin Palace to have brunch. The weather was so lovely we sat out rather than inside. Today's blip is me trying to get a surreptitious shot but I think I was spotted.
We enjoyed a lovely couple of hours in the sunshine before it was time for them to head off.
Out time together always goes so quickly so we are talking about trying to get away for a weekend at some point. We are all so busy with many and varied commitments so it isn't easy to find a chunk of time that suits us all. I really hope we can do it though as even a month in their company isn't really long enough.
After they left Alan and Shelley headed out and David and Lola went to Perth for a training session and I had the house to myself. I sat with my feet up in the garden room with the bi-fold doors and all the windows wide open and dozed with the sun on my face.
Utter bliss.
