Embassador of good will

Washed my mom's hair and took her out for fro-yo today. I also stopped to get gas. When I wasn't looking, she hopped out of the car and went over to talk to a  man filling his tank. Alarmed at how stealthily she got away from me, I went over to retrieve her. She was telling the man, who looked non-caucasian, that he was welcome in our country any time. I gave him an "oops" face and he gave me an "it's okay" face. Then, back in my car, I noticed he had Canadian plates.
