Left Behind

One of the last things we needed to have done as we finished the works on the house was the cutting down of some trees on the small  cliff face above us .  One or two have slipped over the years and we were increasingly worried about the potential for the closest ones to do some damage in a winter storm.

The work took place  three weeks ago and today , for the first time, I walked along the top of the little hill where the trees had been growing.    There is lots of debris left (though the logs are stacked and ready for splitting - a lifetime supply by the look of them ) and some of it is very photogenic.
