Granny's Bonnet

We headed down to the outdoor pool when it opened at 10 in an effort to beat the anticipated crowds; the queue already stretched down the road and we only managed a few lengths before it got too crowded to swim; however, it gave us a chance to catch up with more of the regulars we hadn't seen for a while. The queue was just as long when we left at 11; the glorious weather must have given the pool its best opening weekend in a long while.

We spent the rest of the day catching up with chores we haven't done since before we went away, like washing the car and tidying the garden.

These acqualegia grow like weeds in our garden. They were among my Mum's favourite flowers; she always called them Granny's Bonnets.
