Stop and just look at that green!

We are in the middle of a special time of year in Aberdeenshire, when the new buds burst open their tightly packed bundles. The newborn leaves are so vivid in their colour, truly and wholly spring green, that they radiate with life and vitality. A feast for weary eyes. Please don't rush past, slow down, stop, notice and drink in that green, it's at its brightest and will fade soon as the trees enter their next phase.

Gorgeous weather today, i was lucky to be out in the sun with colleagues for an hour at Aden; not even an intense meeting in the late afternoon at Woodhill could deter me from walking through the forest greens and heading up the hill when I got home in the evening.
