North York Moors

Today we travelled across to the North York Moors which involved driving up Sutton Bank with its 1 in 4 gradient and hairpin bend for a spectacular view across the Vale of York :)

Then on to another favourite town, Helmsley. We were pleased that we had missed the Tour de Yorkshire by a day but appreciated all the blue & yellow bunting everywhere & many shop window displays. There was even a bicycle on the top of the church tower!!

We lunched in Hutton-le-Hole, where we promised Mum & Dad they would see sheep roaming all over the village greens, this wasn't to be as the river & greens were filled with families enjoying the gorgeous weather!

Mr W then took us on one of his famous mystery tours across the Moors away from all the crowds :)

Another wonderful day.
