Chim Chim Cher-ee!

Everyone told us that chimney sweeps don't use brushes any more.

Well they were wrong! Our man yesterday came with brushes and poles, and swept the chimney the way they have swept them for years!
(except he didn't have Tom, the little boy who climed up the chimney, with him!!)
We thought he was a proper sweep as when he arrived he had a smudge of soot on his face!

No mess what so ever when he had finished, and we didn't realise how much dirt there was up the chimney!

We have now ordered the wood burning stove, and that is being fitted a week on Monday!
So it will soon be hot chestnuts and toasted crumpets by the fire!!
Along with a nice glass of red wine, and Micky Bubbles on the CD player.
