Bad Hair Day..

Spent a pleasant hour or so at Chasewater Country Park this morning. Couldn't resist this pair of Runner Ducks, although the one seems to be in training to be a Crested Runner Duck.  However, he hasn't quite got the powder puff topknot right yet.  Stood for ages watching a pair of Coots with their chicks.  I have put a collage as an extra, showing the adventures of one chick.  He began sitting nicely by his parent, then decided to explore by himself.  The adult caught up with him, and after a stern talking to led him safely back to the nest.
