Busy Busy Busy!

I feel the benefit of my early night last night. Slept soundly till 7am.

Got a slightly longer lie in this morning as Alan had an appointment with the orthopaedic consultant (routine check of his hips and spine) so wasn't going in to school until after that.

Appointment went well although Alan was a bit wriggly whilst being examined. His hamstrings are very tight and there's a slight chance he may need surgery at some point to loosen them. That wasn't discussed today so I'm trying to put it to the back of my mind.

After dropping Alan off at school D and I headed to a little local cafe we hadn't had the chance to try yet and had a very nice lunch. Posh macarioni cheese (had cauliflower, leeks and toasted walnuts through it) and the tastiest garlic bread I have ever had. Of course we had to finish it all of with coffee and cake....jam and coconut cake for him, orange ice sponge for me. So, there's another little place to add to my list of lunch venues :-))

Back home and a quick tidy up before trying to get my backblips on here.

Rep from the tracking hoist company has just arrived with new slings so have to go and get trained in how to use them. Poor Alan....he's going to be getting whisked about all over his room in a mo as we practice moving him. It's like his own personal fairground ride!
