Gonna Kick my Feet up and Stare at the Fan..
Today lovely clear day, with funny clouds, sunshine, rain, sleet and wind.
Ailsa Craig, Pladda, and the Heads of Ayr all appeared to be floating above the water, very odd, another atmospheric thing that I can't explain, but which could be seen from the Head's of Ayr end as well.
I spotted the Navy ship as I drove along the North beach, and caught it here at the South Beach. I can sniff out a Navy ship at 50 miles!
I wondered too about the Holy Isle; it sits just there in front of Arran and it's full of Buddhists and sometimes apparently, Richard Gere. I think sometimes It might be quite nice to visit, but then I'd have to commune with the Buddhists, and I might have to question their thoughts.
Mo at work had seen the floating islands today too ; Pladda, Sanda, and Sheep. I told her a story about a man I once knew who caretook the isle of Sanda, before it's present owner. He was the shepherd, the Chicken Farmer, and the bar man. It's a tiny little island and he lived there alone for 8 months, serving beer in the pub if any boats stopped ashore. It sounded Idyllic, more so than the Holy Isle.
Mo and I then decided to look it up...and lo and behold, some rich chappie from somewhere has bought it and done it all up, and we thunk i would be a very, very lovely wedding venue... Now all we gotta do is find a wedding!
