Silly Saturday

Lots of silliness here:

- We're finally fulfilling our Christmas present promise to my Dad today (a meal out at lunchtime and a brass band concert this evening): it seems rather a silly delay, but he was in hospital on the first occasion we arranged, having a (very successful) heart pacemaker fitted at the age of 94

- The restaurant where we had lunch has a large flowering tree in the middle of it (it's actually an artificial tree, but so what, it still seems a little silly, or quirky at least). Interestingly the restaurant is now called "Branches"; in its previous incarnation it was called "The Cherry Tree" but the tree wasn't there then!)

- I took this photo on my phone from the mezzanine floor. You can see the top of my Editor's head, THREE times over because of the refraction in the glass barrier - is that silly?

- The photo is taken from a rather silly angle, looking down
