New York City Skyline

We were fortunate enough that our flight was unaffected unlike so many others so we made the trip from upstate NY to JFK avoiding the city at all cost as it was described as 'mayhem in Manhattan'. We had all our luggage driven up from NY the day before so we didn't have to go and collect it. Luckily for us Grandpa has some good friends who were in the right place at the right time for us.

My camera battery was dying second by second as we have had no power for 2 days. This was taken from a moving car on the way to JFK. I think it turned out alright considering. I took a lot of quick instinctive snaps but most were blurry or just awful, hey I got one and you only need one so YAY!

Flew through to Amsterdam to change over to head onto Manchester. We had a bid of lighting on our way into Holland. In-fact we flew right through a thunder storm and we had a lighting strike hit the wing of the plane, it was quite the spectacle despite being slightly unnerving.

Arrived safely in Manchester a few hours ago. And am now at home. Still no Dad, didn't realise he would be in Holland still. I'll see him when I see him, soon rather than later I hope. The house is freezing, my fingers numb so I'm signing off. Now let's see if I can keep my blipping going now that I'm back in England!

Wish me luck...
