Walking past Apsley House in Piccadilly, the one time home of the Duke of Wellington ( whose statue faces it across a very busy road) I remembered visiting with my parents on my very first trip to London which must have taken place when I was 10 or 11 . In other words more than fifty years ago....

I don’t remember the weather though but today was glorious
