Phaestos

Another baking-hot day, another palace (two, actually). We signed up for an archaeology tour, and we are certainly seeing plenty of ruins!  It's wonderful, but exhausting.

This hilltop site has the most fantastic views over the plain below - olive groves that go on forever.

After lunch, we had a couple of hours at the beach.  The extra is the shadow of a palm tree on the sand, which I've faffed with a bit and tagged for Abstract Tuesday. I hope that's within the rules, Ingeborg - if not, sorry and please ignore it!

I hope to catch up with journals soon - but there are another two trips tomorrow and a lecture - not a dull moment!
