Mid-morning Snack

While driving home from the pool today, I saw this Red-tailed Hawk leave its perch in a tree, swoop down to the ground and grab this snake and fly to a power pole with its prize.  I was lucky to have my camera and be in a place where I could turn in, open my window and get several shots.  I felt sorry for the snake but it was so interesting to see.  I left before it got gory! 

I am grateful that I have learned to always have my camera with me!
