Street Corner Series
Osage at 24th
In the city today. Bright and blustery with the fog just hovering over Twin Peaks.
Walking along Diamond Street in Noe Valley, one of my old, old neighborhoods (extras), there is a house along here that is the source of some very lovely crochet critter street art* (cats, monkeys, frogs, octopus...) and my friend just had to show me. The street trees are entertainingly and creatively populated with various and beautifully crocheted animals.
We walked up to Kite Hill which was in full boom with wild radish, so pretty. But they will be mowing it all at some point as it will soon become a fire hazard. Also hung out in a beautiful community garden nearby and sat among the flowers and buzzing bees looking at the city skyline.
It was a good day, a day we both needed (or at least I definitely needed), just easy hanging out with a long-time and trusted friend day.
* start at 22nd and Diamond and walk down
