Tyres

My Land Rover Freelander has Pirelli tyres but they are not as huge as these ones . These belong to Formula One cars that we were looking at whilst visiting Mercedes Benz World. My extra shows my favourite car of today, ,a 1950s Mercedes190SL. It cost £20,000 new which is £100,000 in today's money. I expect it's current value is even more exorbitant.

Our second visit here and we are spending the day/night in Brooklands Hotel. We stayed here in January. Tomorrow it's a return visit to Brooklands Museum and a classic car auction. We shall keep our hands safely in our pockets.

Brooklands was the first UK racing track and the birthplace of British Motorsport and Aviation.
