Loon

More handsome in Large.

I had company over the the last few days.  Therefore, I spent less time at the computer (see a backblip for yesterday).  I have some catching up to do...

We went on a little hike this morning and found a friendly ambassador to the lake in that area.  This loon was on it's own, but swam back and forth along the shoreline in front of us for quite a while.  This gave us many opportunities for well lit images and a bit of (photo) experimenting as well.  I personally love seeing loons and found it kind of exciting to have the chance to see one so close and for so long. :)
