It's almost that time of year. Strike that (as our American cousins say in the movies), it IS that time of year.

Buy your poppy, please and consider donating a little more than just a little bit onto the collecting tins. Every penny counts and helps the Poppy Appeal make a difference to people who served our country and are in need of it now.

You can buy a poppy from shops, banks, schools, colleges and people standing in streets and shopping centres. From children and adults; from veterans bent with age. From people standing tall, from people sitting proud. You can buy them, you can help sell them, you can go along and have a chat and show some support to the many thousands of volunteers who sell poppies as their contribution to the appeal.
