A right royal knees up

No, not that wedding, but a celebration of all things folk in Winchester's annual MayFest.  Yes, of course I was tempted to sample the people-watching opportunities at Windsor, but clearly not enough to get myself there.

Meanwhile, the MayFest took over the town and the sun shone.  I was only surprised, then, how many people looked rather too thoughtful about it all.  Despite royal weddings the country could hardly be said to be in an optimistic mood right now, could it..
