Love is the Only Way

Decided to go down to the Adega at lunchtime to be with folk, the men were singing together, it's always moving to watch, and then we all set off to have a look at the fair. Got stopped on the main square for a coffee with our French friend, and then set off again with another friend, Ana, sheltering from the rain on the way.

Got home and decided to look at the royal wedding, loved it, and found the couple's choice of black people and culture so moving, and Bishop Curry's sermon amazing (apparently "too long" at 13 minutes - really??). Here is the beginning:

The late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, and I quote: “We must discover the power of love, the redemptive power of love. And when we do that, we will make of this old world a new world. Love is the only way.

And here is another bit:
Someone once said that Jesus began the most revolutionary movement in all of human history: a movement grounded in the unconditional love of God for the world. A movement mandating people to live that love, and in so doing, to change not only their lives, but the very life of the world itself. I am talking about some power. Real power. Power to change the world.

Amen, brother, preach it, this sick old world needs to hear it.
And may Harry and Meghan's love give them a happier marriage than either of their parents had.
