The ash trees that surround the house (there are four of them) are in full fall color. Their leaves will be keeping me busy this month.

A day of weather contrasts. The beautiful sunshine this morning was gone by 2 p.m. I retreated to the kitchen when the rain arrived to try out a dairy-free apple crumble recipe. It smells good in the oven, we shall see later if it tastes ok.
