Mostly Six Five Oh

By nhc

Saturday afternoon.

The first time in two weeks that all four of us (2 humans, 2 cats) have hung out in the same room. A cause for quiet celebration. Hubby working in the background, my feet up on the coffee table, Naboo asleep in one chair, Doyle asleep next to me on the couch.

The cats are still wary of one another but each day we're getting closer to them becoming happy siblings again. This is the longest, quietest, and calmest hang out time they've had with each other since Doylie came home from the hospital.

Doyle's most recent blood tests came back as normal. The vet is leaning toward mild asthma instead of a heart issue when it comes to her abnormal breathing. We are doing a watch and wait for the next few days to see how she fares. She's continued eating well, bit by bit she's getting more confident and showing more signs of normal behavior, but it's slow. She's been through a lot, poor girl.

Just noticed my blip on this day last year, the leaves on the trees around the house with their fall color. This year fall has come early, all the leaves are already down.
