Christmas is coming...

...and this is the clue! The Christmas tree in Gallerie Lafayette is up!

Despite the fact that personally I think the beginning of November is far too early for Christmas trees and all that Xmas jazz, it was nice to see it up, all big and glittery!

Other than a quick browse in Lafayette, today was spent mainly by walking the streets of Paris (in the rain, yet again). We started off by walking down to the Louvre, along the Seine and the Jardin des Tuilleries for a bit, followed by a stroll in the Marais and a nice cup of coffee to warm up. A visit to Notre Dame and finally back home. Cooked a delicious (if I may say so myself) pan of chicken and vegetable spicy stew type thing for dinner and watched Four Weddings and a Funeral FOR THE FIRST TIME!!! Don't know how I've never watched it before, but it's such a classic Hugh Grant movie-I loved it!

Wasn't quite the full-of-culture day we'd planned, but was nice anyway! Tomorrow's plan is to go the Chateau de Versailles, so hopefully some good blip material. Watch this space...
