Scottish Road Trip-Day 2-Inverness to Invergordon
There's not that much distance between Inverness and Invergordon, but we took the country roads, stopped first at Muir of Ord to visit the Glen Ord (The Singleton) Distillery and then went all around the Black Isle, first to the Chanonry Point to see if there were any dolphins to spot (no, but see extra) and then to Cromarty and further around the Black Isle, finding this beautiful grave yard between Jemimaville and Resolis. It's the Kirkmichael Burial Ground/kirk , a beautiful old kirk yard with graves spanning 800 years, very recent ones included, looking over the Cromarty Firth and the enormous row of out-of use oil/gas platforms parked in there. Tomorrow it's Wick and some sightseeing in between !
I hope you don't mind me not leaving comments on all the Abstract Thursday entries of last Thursday, I've given all a star at least. Thanks so much for all those entries, most of them indeed distorted :-) Next Thursday the optional theme will be 'texture' and the tag will be AT152. I don't think I'll manage to have the results on next Sunday nor on next Saturday, it may have to wait until Monday or even Tuesday, as we're hopefully safe and sound home in Holland by then.
I did manage to find the 5 specials of last week's entries:
suejay50 A distorted aquilegia making a beautiful pattern
lisabet An abstract mystery
60plus A swirl of clematis flowers
Kate64 Distressed and distorted shrub/tree, I saw human forms before seeing the rhubarb
Lenah A birdhouse, but not as we know it
Thanks so much for your entries !
And thank you for your kind comments and stars for yesterday's Glencoe Blip
