Ixtapa Triathlon

I have often been in Ixtapa the day prior to their annual triathlon, but never attended the actual event - until today. Information was a bit hard to come by, but I finally found that the elite level entrants started at 11:00. What I failed to realize was that there was a bunch of divisions that got going much earlier. When I arrived at 10:30 there were tons of people on the course giving me ample opportunity to capture photos of swimmers, bikers, and runners. I had smartly taken my bicycle so I could travel around the spread out course. Came back with over 400 photos and whittled them down to this favorite of a runner refreshing herself with a bag of water.
