Whitetop pitcherplants

It's only 3.5 hours from New Orleans to the panhandle of Florida, passing through the coastal fringes of Mississippi and Alabama states. It feels very different here; the area is like other parts of Florida we've been to, even though it's so close to Louisiana.
We explored various beaches and parks today in the Perdido Key area, including Bayou Tarkiln State Park, where we stumbled upon these pitcherplants growing in a forest near the Bayou. Birding highlight today was seeing migrating black terns flying a few feet over our heads as we walked along the beach at Perdido Key.
