I couldn't be prouder!

Dear Diary,

This week my two grand-nieces graduated from college.  The lovely young woman on the left earned a doctorate in veterinary  medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and her equally beautiful sister on the right earned a bachelor's degree in nutrition from the University of Vermont!  I am brimming over with pride...the best birthday present ever!

My cousin is with me here in Maine for a few days so my birthday week fun continues.  It is so good to be home and to have Emerson with me again.  The garden is looking really wonderful too.  I agree with Dorothy, "There's no place like home!"
