Red rock state park

After a night in a hotel in Phoenix we moved on to Red Rock state park for an acclimatisation walk. A great, gentle walk taking in cathedral rock as seen here.

Also saw hummingbirds, but sadly not quick enough with the camera.

After an an alfresco sandwich lunch we moved on to our first campsite , Mather, which is within the Grand Canyon National Park. Got the tents up, ate , and went to bed.
