Bean feast

Yes, I know it’s a bit sad, but I’m rather ridiculously excited to find flowers on my runner bean plants already, while they’re still modest shoots at the bottoms of the bamboo canes. Fresh young runners are such a delicious summer vegetable, and something to relish in mid-summer meals.
